15 Days Book Blogging Challenge: Day 11 - Show Off Your Best Blog Posts

.

The 11th challenge is to show off 5 of your best blog posts! I've written more than 350 posts so far, and it's not easy to choose the best ones - since I don't really remember much. And I'm also not the type of person who likes to show off much. So I'll probably just take the easier way by listing my top 5 popular posts of all time (which I can see through the blogger dashboard). I kind of predicted that a giveaway would be in the top 5, but it turns out it's all book reviews which gained so many views. Join the challenge here if you're interested :)

This was one of my favorite books, and the post was viewed 2265 time so far. The review itself is quite lengthy, which is around 1,500 words long. Because I loved the book so much, I enjoyed writing the book review because I kind of poured out all of my feelings about it. I talked a lot about the plot, characters, and numerous life lessons I learned from it. This book gives me a lot of tension and emotions while reading it, and it's definitely tons of fun.

This one is a little bit unexpected, because the review I wrote for this book isn't that long, and my impression about it wasn't that great either. I read this book out of curiosity because I really enjoyed the movie adaptation starring Jack Black - and thought the book would be as fun. But considering the book is a classic, it turns out the plot is quite flat. But in the end, I still admire Jonathan Swift's creativity and imagination in creating this book. This post was viewed 3538 times so far, and I think it gained this many views probably because of the movie's popularity.

Although Windhy Puspitadewi is also one of my favorite authors, I didn't expect this review to be so popular among my blog readers. Over the past year, this post gained 6176 pageviews so far. The book is filled with so many beautiful quotes, which is why I always love the writing style of this author. Even though I didn't give a full rating for this book, it was a very enjoyable read for me.

No need to question the popularity of this book review; it has been viewed 10250 times so far, and I'm pretty sure it's because the movie adaptation is also very popular. The author herself is famous for numerous best sellers, and this bittersweet love story is also loved by many readers. I gave a 4.5 rating for this book, just because I couldn't understand the character's decision. The overall story is enjoyable, and I almost couldn't put this book down because it's such a page-turner. Up until now, I still haven't seen the movie adaptation though (which is divided into 2-parts). Hopefully I will, soon :)

Never in my almost-2-year of blogging I thought this book review would become the most popular posts of all time in my blog. I rarely read or post book reviews on non-fiction book, but this is one of them. It is a biography about one of the most successful people in Indonesia, Chairul Tanjung - whose life doesn't start that well, but with hard work and persistence he earned his life now. He is listed as one of the richest people in Indonesia according to Forbes. Actually I started reading this book because of an issue about ghost writer. But it turns out this biography is quite inspirational and motivating. This post has 12783 pageviews so far, the biggest number out of all my blog posts :)

So that's my blog's best posts (or most popular at least). Best can mean so many things, it can also mean your favorite blog posts or anything. Is there something special about your best blog posts? Share in the comments or join this challenge ;)
