"I shiver, thinking how easy it is to be totally wrong about people-to see one tiny part of them and confuse it for the whole, to see the cause and think it's the effect or vice versa."It's been a long time since I wrote something related to movie adaptation. And recently I saw a movie trailer that got me really excited because it's adapted from one of my favorite book: Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver! I read this book back in 2011; which is five years ago, and I barely remember the details of the book. But I know for sure that I really enjoyed my time reading it back then. For those of you who haven't seen it yet, go watch the movie trailer below ;)
To be honest, I don't recognize any of the cast in this movie adaptation. Even so, I hope they'll play their part well and portray the message of the book perfectly. For those of you who didn't know, let me give you a brief summary about the plot. It's about a girl named Samantha (played by Zoey Deutch), who seemed to have it all in life. Until one day, she is killed in a car accident. But then she woke up to find out that she woke up again, the same day of her death—and she's stuck reliving that day for inexplicable week.
Doesn't that plot sounds very intriguing? Talking about it makes me want to reread the book again; unfortunately I don't think I have time for that. I read this book in 2011 before I had this blog, so I only wrote a short review on Goodreads. In that review, my 18-year-old self said that this book taught me a lesson. Maybe watching this movie adaptation would be able to make me relive that moment :) The movie is set to release on 3 March 2017 in the U.S. I'm not sure if it will be released in Indonesia, but I'll be sure to keep a lookout for it :D
Have you read Before I Fall? Are you excited for the movie adaptation? ;)
