Top 5 Wednesday: Series You Want to Start This Year

.

We're back with Top 5 Wednesday! If you followed this blog last year, you'll know that I made a similar post in early 2014 called: Top Ten Series I Want to Read This Year ♥, which I consider a fail because I only get to 3/10 listed series (Maze Runner trilogy, The Giver Quartet, and Hannibal Lecter series). This week's topic is to choose Top 5 Series You Want to Start This Year. That's why I might choose some from last year's list, or add newer series that I'm interested to read in 2015. I have tons of series on my TBR pile, but reading series is one of my bookish goals/resolutions this year, so hopefully I'll finish these series soon! Here's the list in no particular order!

Legend trilogy by Marie Lu
I had this series for quite some time already, but haven't started yet. I heard it's a great series—kind of dystopian—and I will most definitely start the series this year. I need more dystopian reads in my life.

The Grisha trilogy by Leigh Bardugo
The last book in the series was finally published last year, which means it's time for me to start reading it! The thing that made me want to read this series most is actually the beautiful cover. I would love to have a poster of these book covers in my room. This one is a young-adult fantasy that also received quite a lot of hype :))

Chaos Walking trilogy by Patrick Ness
The third one is actually a pretty old series; and I'm a bit ashamed because a friend recommended it to me years ago, but I still haven't start it yet. I don't know what stopped me. I heard this series is amazing, and judging from what I hear, I think it's going to be right up my alley.

Under the Never Sky trilogy by Veronica Rossi
Another young-adult dystopian series that ended last year, and this also means that I should start it soon. Quite a lot of people loved this series, which intrigued me even more. And the premise of the story sounds interesting to me.

Delirium trilogy by Lauren Oliver
The last on this list is yet another young-adult dystopian series. This series has quite mixed reviews, so I'm not really sure if I'm going to love it or not. But I really enjoyed Lauren Oliver's book titled Before I Fall, so I'm going to start this series with a positive mindset. Hopefully this series won't disappoint me :)

So those are the series (or trilogies) that I really want to start this year! I also have some series that I've already started but haven't finished yet (Heroes of Olympus series, A Song of Ice and Fire series), and hopefully I can keep reading those as well. What are the series you're looking forward to reading this year? Any series on my list that you're interested to read? :) As for the rest of Top 5 Wednesday's January topics, I'm not sure if I'll be able to post—because they're quite tough to answer. But I will most probably continue in February if the topics are easy to do, because I don't like to think hard... Okay, bye for now! Have a wonderful day! ;))

  1. Semoga kebaca semuanya ya, Stef. Aku gagal total tahun lalu.
Aku mau posting ini juga deh. Top 5 series sounds more realistic ketimbang top 10 series. LOL.

  4. I want to start all that series too! But too bad I don't have those books at all, except Legend trilogy. But maybe I won't read delirium trilogy because I heard not so good reviews about it.
