March & April 2022 Book Haul — Indonesian Books

It's hard to believe that the last book haul post that I uploaded on this blog was back in September 2018 😲. These past few years, I have been trying to control my book-buying habit—especially because I lived in a small space after I got married in 2020. In that apartment, I only have one tall bookcase which I mostly use to store my work documents for working from home and no space to add a ton of new books. During those years, I think I only purchased a few physical books that I really really want and survived by reading e-books most of the time. Now that I've moved to a bigger space, I decided to allow myself to purchase more Indonesian books that I've been wanting to read for quite some time 😆. So, without further ado, here are the 11 books that I bought in March & April 2022!

 

Pengalaman Membeli & Membaca E-book di Gramedia Digital

Selama beberapa tahun terakhir, sepertinya aku lebih sering membaca e-book dibandingkan buku fisik. Salah satu alasan utamanya adalah karena aku pindah ke apartemen yang lebih kecil, sehingga aku tidak punya banyak tempat untuk menyimpan buku secara fisik. Selain itu, membaca e-book jauh lebih praktis karena mudah dibawa kemana-mana dan tidak memakan banyak tempat. Bagi yang mau tahu lebih lanjut pengalamanku membaca dengan menggunakan e-book reader, bisa baca di post ini. Sayangnya, e-book yang aku baca beberapa tahun belakangan kebanyakan berbahasa Inggris. Oleh karena itu, sewaktu aku kangen membaca buku Bahasa Indonesia, akhirnya aku memantapkan hati untuk mencoba menggunakan aplikasi Gramedia Digital. Setelah membaca 2 buku dengan aplikasi ini, aku akan membagikan pengalamanku membeli dan membaca e-book melalui aplikasi Gramedia Digital ini 😊.

 

July & August 2018 Book Haul

Last month I wasn't very productive with blogging because I was distracted by so many things—especially TV series 😂. But I didn't buy a lot of books either in July (I think it's only one?), so I thought I'd just compile it together with my August book haul. Even combined, I only have 4 paperback books on today's list. I guess I'm doing quite well with my minimalist living so far 😎. As usual, I also have additional ebooks that I acquired within these past two months.Without further ado, let me introduce you to my new books! 😄

June 2018 Book Haul

June was a pretty hectic month for me, that's why I haven't been able to post any reviews lately on this blog even though I've finished some books already. I really enjoyed the long holiday in June, I even went on a short trip out of town for 2 days which was quite refreshing 😊 Last month, I only went to the bookstore 2-3 times and only got myself 3 English books from Periplus. Aside from that, I also accumulated some more ebooks that piqued my interest. So here they are!

Hai semuanya! Kali ini aku punya postingan yang cukup menarik yaitu Unboxing Petri Crate Boks dari Penerbit Haru. Apa itu Petri Crate? May 2018 Book Haul

Oh my gosh, we're already entering the sixth month of 2018 😱 Isn't it crazy how time flies so fast? May was quite a busy month for me because there are a lot of events and I also went on a trip to Papua for several days. Despite my busy schedule, I still managed to get myself several new books 😆. In May, I bought 1 English book, 2 Indonesian books, 2 Bible study books, and several ebooks which I'll share the details with you in this post. I finished and reviewed one book from this pile, so I feel quite happy about that. Now let's talk about the books! 😊

April 2018 Book Haul

April is my birthday month, so I did treat myself with buying more books than usual 😊😊. I think this month's haul consist of an equal amount of English and Indonesian books. Aside from the paperbacks, I also acquired several ebooks that I'm really excited to read soon. In April, I bought 3 English books, 1 Bible study book, 3 Indonesian books and 6 ebooks. All these books really intrigued me but I'm not sure if I'll have enough time to read all of them 🙁. I wish I can stay in bed and read all day 😂. Anyways, without further ado, here are the books that I got last month.

March 2018 Book Haul

Another month has ended, so it's time to recap all the books that I got in March. Last month I still managed to keep my book haul small—which I'm always proud of. Two of the books from this pile is actually quite an impulsive cover buy, but I have no regrets because they're just too beautiful 😍😍. In March, I got myself 3 books, a Bible study book, and 4 ebooks. There's only one Indonesian book in this haul and also there's one sponsored ebook for review. Here are the beautiful books! 😊

February 2018 Book Haul

The second month of the year is over already 😱; so now it's time to recap the books that I've got during February. Starting this month, I will also include the new ebooks that I got—because lately I've really embraced the idea of ebooks and trying to be content with not having a physical copy. I want to include it here so I can keep count of the books that I added to my TBR 😁. In February, I bought 4 books and also acquired 4 ebooks (6 non-fiction and 2 fiction). There's only 1 Indonesian book from the pile, and there's also 1 sponsored/review book. Here they are!

January 2018 Book Haul

It's always been two years since I last made a monthly book haul post—and here I am bringing it back from the dead! 😂😂  This year, I resolve to be more mindful of the things that I buy, including books. Besides my goal to save more money in 2018, I also strive to live a minimalist lifestyle—which I will take time to elaborate in another post. Compared to my usual book haul which consists of around 10 book in average, this month I only got myself 5 books. I did order other books this month but they haven't come in the mail yet. So here are the books that I bought for myself in January 💘💘

Big Bad Wolf Surabaya 2017: Experience, Tips, and Book Haul

After missing out on last year's Big Bad Wolf because I was away on a trip with my friends to the U.S., this year I finally made it to Big Bad Wolf (BBW) Surabaya 2017! It's the biggest book fair for imported books which offered 60-80% discount. Well, to be honest, I wasn't planning on going. Firstly, because the location is really far away from home. Secondly, I know it's going to be fully packed with people. And the last reason, I don't have any plans on adding too many books onto my already huge pile of unread ones. But then my boyfriend offered me to go there, so I just went without having any expectations. This post is going to be about my experience during the event and at the end I will share the books that I (eventually) bought from BBW. Hopefully this will be helpful and give you some insights if you're planning to visit BBW in the future ;)

March 2016: Book Haul

This month, I've been a very good girl and restrained myself from buying too many books—mostly because I just spent quite a lot of money for my trip to Japan this upcoming May ! In March, I got a total of 12 books ( 10 Indonesian books—which all I received from authors/publishers—and 2 English books). In conclusion, I just purchased 2 books this month and I've already read some of the books on this list, so I think I deserved a pat on the back. Without further ado, here are the books that I acquired in the month of March! :)

January—February 2016: Book Haul

I think this is the first time that I compiled two months worth of book haul into one, because I don't know why but I seem to have no time (or effort) to take book haul pictures and make a post about it. So I'm pushing myself today because if I don't do it now, my book haul pile will just get higher and I'll just keep on procrastinating. In the first two months of 2016, I've acquired 13 books (8 Indonesian books—6 of them I received from family or authors/publishers for review—and 5 English books). Which I think is a pretty small haul considering this is two months worth of book shopping. And I've read several books from this pile as well so I feel less guilty for not adding more books to my TBR list. Okay, so here are the books!

December 2015: Book Haul

It's the last day of 2015! OMG! How do you guys feel about this? Because I'm really excited to welcome the new year. This month I got 11 books in total (7 English books and 4 Indonesian books which I got from authors/publisher). I consider this a pretty small haul because at the beginning of the month I was expecting myself to go crazy with book shopping—especially with all the sales that's happening since it's the holiday season. Even so, I'm very happy with all my purchase this month. Here's my last book purchase of the year!

November 2015: Book Haul

I know this post is super late, but whatever, I'll just post it anyway. I was thinking of combining November and December's book haul together, but I think it might be too much—since I'm thinking of buying myself a bunch of books as my own Christmas present. In November I acquired 9 books in total (5 English books and 4 Indonesian books); 4 of them I received as a gift or was sent to me by publishers. Pretty small haul, right? Especially compared to last month. I've read quite a lot of books from this pile, so I don't feel as guilty as I did in October. So without further ado, here are the books that I got in November!

October 2015: Book Haul

A lot has happened in October, and it seems that my rebound from last month still continued. I didn't realize how much books I've accumulated this month until I had to make this book haul post. The list is very long and it scares me somehow—because I'm not sure when I'll get to all of these books. But let's put my worries aside and just cherish all the new books! I've got 26 books in total this month (11 English books, 2 Korean books, 13 Indonesian books) ; 8 of them I received from authors/publisher/bookstore. Gosh, just mentioning the numbers made me guilty already. SO many books. Anyways, here are the books—please don't judge me by my book-shopping habit!

September 2015: Book Haul

I might've had a rebound after two months ( July Book Haul | August Book Haul ) of not buying as much books as I usually do. Most of the books in this haul I got early in September, which is quite shocking to me because my book haul pile (that's placed on my desk) just keeps getting higher and higher. This month I acquire a total of 19 books (2 English books, 17 Indonesian books), 10 I received from authors/publisher and the rest I purchased on my own. I haven't read most of these books but they will be in my October TBR because I'm excited to read them all. So now, let me show you all the books I've got this month :)

August 2015: Book Haul

I should give myself a pat on the back for only buying 1 (ONE) book last month. Can you believe it? I even had a hard time believing it myself because it's so unlike me. I don't know whether it's because I was too occupied with other stuff to the point that I didn't have time to shop for books, or am I finally successful in holding my urge to buy new books. Either way, my August book haul contains 5 Indonesian books (+3 e-books); 7 of them I received from the authors and 1 (one) I purchased on my own. I've read 4 of these books and I'm still working on some of the reviews. Okay, so here they are!

July 2015: Book Haul

We're nearing the end of July and I hope everyone enjoyed their holidays :)) Compared to last month, I only got a small amount of books in July—which of course, is always a good thing. Hopefully I can keep this up until next month (not making any promises though). In this book haul there are 7 books: 5 English books and 2 Indonesian books (which I received from authors). I've already read 3 out of 7 books, so I'm not adding much to my TBR pile this month ;) Alright, so here are the books I got this month !
